Jun Bai

Mr. Bai Jun is a deputy director of the Institute of International Energy, International Cooperation Center, National Development and Reform Commission in China. He has served in the energy market for more than a decade and specializes in China energy industry analysis, especially in oil and gas sector. Mr. Bai acts as an advisor on current matters and potential issues in the energy universe to the NDRC. Mr. Bai has chaired several energy research projects entrusted by the NDRC and other energy-related entities, with subjects ranging from international oil and gas cooperation, domestic oil and gas industry reform and energy market indicators development. He was a member of the drafting committee of China’s long-term energy strategy. Before this, Mr. Bai was chief China oil analyst at an IOC’s global trading unit, tracking every facet in the Chinese oil market in addition to gauging the impact on oil by relevant factors. Prior to that, Mr. Bai was an energy researcher at a major international information service provider for professional markets, initiating its China LNG coverage and leading its China oil refining and power market analysis. Mr. Bai wrote commentaries and reports for both Chinese and English publications.
