A massive thank you to the 750 executives that attended our 2016 Asia-Pacific Oil & Gas Assembly. The event cemented its position as Asia’s most influential corporate development, strategy, finance and investment gathering. We met, identified and discussed (i) new corporate development opportunities both in Asia-Pacific and internationally, (ii) new investment opportunities across the Asian-Pacific energy landscape, (iii) deal flow and capital emanating to and from the region, (iv) effective management strategies and practices to overcome this low-price environment and (v) how to access Asia-Pacific’s capital markets and active investment community.

2016 will be a challenging year for our industry, our 2017 Assembly will reflect on all that will happen this year as we look for our industry to recover, strengthen and in time grow once more.

If you are an executive working within APAC’s upstream, midstream/LNG, downstream, offshore, commodity trading, finance, investment and petroleum services sectors, or looking to access the Asian-Pacific marketplace, this Assembly remains a must attend event for thought leadership, market insight and high-end CEO-level networking.

Many congratulations also to the winners of our 2015 Asia-Pacific Oil & Gas Awards; PETRONAS, Oil Search, ExxonMobil PNG, Keppel Offshore & Marine, Pavilion Energy, Quadrant Energy and Peter Botten CBE.

“The oil and gas industry is a multi-trillion dollar industry across all continents. A 10 or 20% shrinkage will still leave us with a multi-trillion dollar industry across all continents. Our industry never ceases to amaze me in its resilience, its tenacity and ability to reinvent itself. The people gathered this week at the Asia Pacific Assembly showed us why. With some many talented and determined people, I felt confident that we will weather this storm like the six storms before this."

Hassan Basma
, CEO,
HBA Offshore
