Meet the Members

I advise the Kenya Government on Local Content through the Kenya Petroleum Technical Assistance Project (KEPTAP), a World Bank funded Kenya Government delivered capacity building project for Oil and Gas. I am in-country lead for the Petroleum Business Opportunities (PBO) project. A capacity building project tasked with raising local industry’s performance standards to facilitate successful business engagement with Oil and Gas. I am a volunteer founding member of the Regional Mega-Projects Coordinating Council (RMPCC) that works to understand the needs and challenges of all large projects planned in Kenya and to promote joined-up development thinking across all the projects.
With extremely challenging environment with oil prices going significantly under the last decade "standard", results so far are good. Mainly on Mexican Round 1 and Clean Energy Generation auctions, with extremely successful bids showing great interest for the main players in the Industry and good results for Mexico as a country.
I have always had a fascination for the energy industry and I received my Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy Systems. I was lucky that my first job as a project engineer was with a leading company in the energy industry.
When you build private companies, at the start-up stage you have to compel talented people to at times leave their comfortable jobs and believe in a shared vision with some risk. It is always a very proud moment when it works out and when critical projects are is more personal to your employees.
